From the recording Dim the Watershed
The harbor lights have all gone out again and there is nothing keep you here except the lonely sound of the wind. I can remember when, the truth didn’t matter then. Skipping stones, rolling bones, let’s make a deal. I can pretend the words are real.
And so it goes from day to day. I pay it off, the mistake I made and I am reminded everyday.
To get you here is just a dream. The sky is darker now than I’ve ever seen, darker than I ever been.
Damn these years as they go by. Don’t even think you can even try. Why do you try? Why do you try? Why do you try?
And so we go and live our lives. Please remember me late at night. Tell me what we did was right. Please tell me what we did was right.
